Helping you purchase your new home is about more than ticking boxes off a home buying checklist; I know every home I help a client purchase represents the fulfillment of a deeply cherished dream, often years in the making.

MAJOR BUYING MILESTONES

SECURING FUNDING

Unless you’re paying cash, the first step to purchasing your new home is to secure a mortgage pre-approval letter. This helps us determine what price range we should be shopping in and strengthens your position when it’s time to write an offer.

HUNTING FOR YOUR HOME

House hunting can be both exciting and stressful, especially in a competitive market. To help keep you motivated and grounded, I offer two specific types of support during this stage: 1) I help you keep the emotional highs and lows in check, making it less likely that a sense of urgency or competition will push you into investing in a home that’s ultimately not right for you and 2) I use my years of expertise as a home matchmaker and my extensive Rolodex of contractors to help you objectively compare the available options against your home needs checklist.

NEGOTIATING YOUR DEAL

Once we’ve found a home you love, we’ll work together to write a competitive offer that aligns with your financial and lifestyle goals. Naturally, different buyers come to me with different comfort levels for what they’re willing to negotiate on to get the home they want. We’ll discuss where you fall on this spectrum, and I’ll provide my recommendations based on the value I see in the home.

EXECUTING INSPECTIONS

In most cases, we’ll complete a professional home inspection on your property within 10 business days of offer acceptance. When the reports come back, we’ll assess the results together and form a perfect addendum plan based on the findings.

REPAIRS & APPRAISAL

I’ll manage the satisfactory completion of any agreed upon home repairs to ensure your new property is being handed over in the condition you expect. At this point, your lender will also coordinate an appraisal of the home to move the funding process forward.

CLOSING & POSSESSION

During the final days of your transaction, we’ll work with title and lending companies to coordinate and sign all your closing documents. Once the possession date comes, it’s on to the fun part - getting the keys to your new home!
